Academic Development Center

The Academic Development Center offers support for all Georgian Court University students by other Georgian Court University students. The ADC makes good students better.

  • Students are treated as individuals to create the pace of their support to enrich their academic experiences.

  • Communication is the key to success at the ADC. A constant effort is made to communicate with the faculty to offer their students pathways to success.

  • The ADC provides students with learning strategies that will take them beyond their college years and enable them to make education a lifelong process.

Some students find a session or two is sufficient to clear up concepts that confuse them. Others benefit from weekly tutoring sessions in subjects they find particularly challenging.

Student studying

Tutoring is on a drop-in basis, and arrangements must be made in person. To receive help, come to the ADC and request a tutor. You'll be matched with an appropriate tutor.

If you have any questions about the peer tutoring program call to speak with the director. Often, all it takes is brief assistance to get back on track. Even if you're doing well, we can make your study time more productive and efficient.
